FAs are you verify catering as a pre-departure duty; however if operating a YYJ flight all they need to check are the drunk carts; not the positions that are to be empty carts.
This seems like an opportunity for improvement in the checklist process. Is the flight number listed on a tag on the cart? How much longer would it take to check the empty positions to ensure the correct carts were loaded?
