How about the hotel-related offers? I see one for IHG (8%) and Marriott (5%), among others. The link sends you to IHG/Marriott but I am very suspicious that booking there will trigger the cash back. Even if booking a rate type which is pre-paid non-refundable, many times the hotel will not take money right away on the card so I am assuming that if the hotel waits for check-in time to charge the card, we won't earn the cash back (?). Has anybody successfully received money back for a hotel booking?
