You'll have a great time!
We just stayed there and had a really lovely 9 days. We had the best location on the island, was super disappointed to not be on the big circular villas at the end of the island, and by the 3rd day, we we so incredibly happy to not be out there.
I would -highly- recommend not staying in the overwater villas in the 3's. Whilst it looks super cool, it's a real trek to get to anything useful on the island. There is zero privacy on the sunset side of the island, speed boats get -very- close, I loved having a good peek at everyone! The sunrise side is dull, and not great for snorkeling.
Most of the year the winds are strong on the sunset side of the island, so avoid that. You will be very well protected on the sunrise side of the island, and the sunrise is very special, and much clearer than sunset which is very often cloudy in tropical climates like the Maldives.
Given you want privacy, snorkeling, and swimming - your best picks are 223-228 (229 is somewhat private, but the others are perfect)
- Snorkeling and swimming are amazing, right off your villa.
- Watch the fish and marine life right off your deck (basically right over the reef)
- Private from each other, the reef protects you against any speed boats, and you can't be seen from beaches or other public areas at all
- Good walkability and ridability to all areas of the island, you wont need to wait for a buggy to come and pick you up
- Sunrise side protects you very well against the winds most of the year
- Very private entries to the villas, down a sandy track that leads through beautiful private garden paths onto the bridge to your vila (the over water villas in the 3's are all on a shared track, and its not private or whimsical at all)
Hope this helps!
