im flying back today, MUC-LHR and of course LHR is a mess. Have a J ticket and tried very hard to take an earlier flight back to LHR since everything is so messed up, but even with space available the agent refused without purchasing a new ticket. I would’ve gone over to EasyJet, who is still functional, but was worried about forfeiting my LHR-SEA segment.

With the last 6 (9? 12?) months of headaches through LHR we are going to avoid BA for awhile. With status, SDC’s are fairly simple on other airlines. Why does BA make things so difficult!
on a connecting itinerary you simply won't have the choice whether to book basic vs plus, and SDC isn't offered.

yes if you miss any flight in the booking the ticket will be cancelled and all remaining unflown forfeited.
