Wife and I will be in Singapore for three days/nights. Our flight arrives at about 2am local time. Are there any hotels that do really early check-in? If not, what would you do until check in, while jet-lagged?

2nd question is which neighborhood/area should we look for a mid-range hotel? We are in our 50's and mostly plan on just wandering around some shopping areas, going to museums, taking in the various cultural events. We don't stay out late so nightlife is not a big draw for us.
