Almost 50 years ago on a Twin Otter landing at LAX after a flight from Santa Barbara I was taking a photograph through a starboard cabin window when there was a rap on the partition at the front of the cabin. No cockpit door on a twotter in those days. The captain was pointing to his left, suggesting that there was a much better shot to port. This was all at about 50 feet or less above the runway,
Those LAX -Santa Barbara flights were always interesting, often flying low over the sea to try to spot whales. Sometimes the plane would have to climb to intercept the ILS for the intermediate stop at Oxvnard.
