– If you are travelling only with cabin baggage, you have to go through the Customs corridor, head to the check-in or drop-off counter of the airline with which you will be flying next, and proceed as if you were boarding for the first time, having to go through security control all over again.
You need to clear passport control (not customs) and go through security at connections, which should be empty at that time of the day.
I think it's risky as the BA flight often arrives late and usually it's a bus gate.
If I were in your situation I'd probably attempt this but I'd also have contingency plans for the possibility of missing the TP flight.
