Light operation wasn’t entirely intuitive, but easy enough to learn.
The light on the magnifying mirror didn’t work. Floor lights under one wardrobe couldn’t be turned off at night.
I laughed reading this, because I am struggling in more and more hotels with this, and during those last days at Sofitel Singapore city center. Come on, why are they making it so complicated to switch on/off lights ? And like you, there is very often one that you can't have off
I tried to get to this Swissotel lounge yesterday (without staying there) during a big storm to have some hospitality during the storm, and saying that I was a Diamond member

, but we were politely declined. Of course they were in their rights, because we were not stying there, but we tried there because all other bars and restaurants of the Swissotel/Fairmont declined us because full or because it was high tea time and not regular drinks time, or because privatized, bla bla bla

.
Some local friends who have stayed in both this Swisshotel and the adjacent Fairmont said the same as you : they much prefer the Swissotel.
