I’ve got an AF to AC transfer at YYZ in a few days on a single ticket. Has anyone done this recently (or similar)? I’m wondering about whether or not a checked bag gets rechecked at T3 on the transfer belt at the exit to the baggage hall or if one carries it over oneself to AC’s regular bag drop in departures? The bag should be already tagged for my final destination.

In my mind, it should be safer to just carry it over myself and check it directly with AC (and maybe that’s the protocol anyhow). I’ve got four hours between flights so that leaves plenty of time. On my way over to CDG I flew via YVR—going AC to AF—and had a 40-ish minute connection due to a delay and wondered if the bag would make it, but my AirTag showed it being loaded on the plane minutes before pushback—but terminal to terminal at YYZ presents different worries.
