Purchase and SDC inventories are different?
Just got off the Delta line (twice) to try to do an SDC for a flight tomorrow. I’m wanting to push back my departure to later in the day.
When I go to delta.com, there’s 4 available seats for sale in F on a later flight, which has a connection rather than my non-stop that I’m currently booked on.
The agent, both times, said that the new flight might be for saile, but that’s different than if they’re available for SDC. I pointed to the SDC policy, but both times I was told that the agents don’t see the same availability in the system for SDC as we do as customers if we just want to purchase a ticket.
That truly is a new revelation to me. I always thought that the policy was if a seat is available in the same or lower cabin of service I could SDC to it, barring a change from a connecting flight to.a non-stop.
Has anyone else seen this?
