Since the OP is Classic Plus at the moment and trying to qualify for Elite status, he would need 40000 status miles within any given 365 day period.
The 14000 miles is coming from the OP earning 26000 status miles within the last 365 days.
As an example, if the OP has earned;
Day 1 - 10000 status miles
Day 85 - 10000 status miles
Day 200 - 6000 status miles ( and qualified for Classic Plus at this time )
He would need to earn 14000 miles until Day 365 to complete 40000 miles, or 24000 miles until Day 450 to complete 40000 miles, or 34000 miles until Day 565 to complete 40000 miles within the last 365 days and the loop goes on like that
