We have a 26 hour layover on our EDI-DOH-(ADL)-AKL itinerary in January 2023 which we're going to spend in the city (booked the Alwadi MGallery).

As this is greater than 24 hours (due to flight changes and cancellations) I'm assuming our luggage won't be through checked to AKL and we'll have to collect it in Doha, is that right?

Secondly, as we're taking bikes, if we can't through check and have to collect our luggage, can we store it in the airport for the day rather than lugging it all the way downtown to the hotel and back again?

I did a search and it looks like no, but I know the FT community will get me the definitive answer.
