Throughout the process, Southwest employees gave the impression that interim expenses would be reimbursed in addition to the contents of the bag. Now that the bag is lost, Southwest is refusing to reimburse any portion of the interim expenses. This is frustrating because I had limited options to replace the missing items - in other words, I was limited only to stores in a reasonable radius of the destination and made purchases I may not have otherwise made if I had more time and more options.

Southwest offered two settlement options: 70% of the purchase price of the items in cash, or a roughly equivalent value LUV voucher. They offered no compensation for the major hassles and frustration this has caused.

I have been thoroughly unimpressed with Southwest throughout this debacle. Employees frequently gave conflicting and confusing answers to my questions. The claim process was time-consuming. And no sympathy or compensation for the trouble has been offered.
