To answer the missing question, yes an outstation can check you in and issue a boarding pass for a LHR-departing flight as long as check-in is open for it. This assumes the airport is connected to FLY (which both MCO and ATL are). Have done this myself a few times in the US, never with any problem. AA would not be able to, however, as a standalone booking wouldn’t even be held in their system.
