While I don’t think it’s in “bad taste”, it does seem like an odd topic of which to have in the pool of questions.

Personally I have visited at least half a dozen of these sights and do so in a way of remembrance and further understanding of the events that happened. My feeling is that these sights are crucial to the understanding of world history and by engaging with them allows us to connect with and remember those whom they claimed.
