Unless you were to get back to back SSSS hits on domestic US flights on wholly domestic US itineraries, I would deem it a complete waste of time to write or submit anything else to DHS over such matter.

I get it regularly Europe to USA. I have global entry. Most likely it is because my employer buys short notice (1-3 days) one-way tickets to get me home. It is what it is, and normally is just a few minutes of my time.
The vast majority of my US-bound flights on US and European carriers are on tickets booked within 2-72 hours of scheduled departure and yet I now very rarely get SSSS hits on my US-bound flights. In fact, I’ve not had a single SSSS hit since 2019 despite a lot of TATL flying since then too.
