IHG Hotels & Resorts plans to open its first Staybridge Suites franchise property in Malaga, following the agreement reached by the British group with AQ Acentor and Borealis Hotel Group for the future operation of the so-called North tower of AQ Urban Sky.

Staybridge Suites will be one of the two hotel brands present within the two towers, which will have a total accommodation capacity of more than 300 rooms.

The future Staybridge Suites Malaga will offer 105 rooms, which will be located between the second and sixth floors of the north tower.

AQ Urban Sky will have a total built area of more than 77,000 m2, housing about 450 homes, more than 500 parking spaces and will represent an investment of more than 175 million euros. Its construction, by Avintia, should be completed by the end of 2023.

In terms of sustainability, the two buildings will have the highest energy rating, built in accordance with the criteria required to obtain the BREEAM "Very Good" certificate, and will benefit from a CO2 emission compensation service for two years from the delivery of the properties.
