Seems more like you don’t take the time to read.

What happened was -

Called 7 days out was assured IF available then it would be granted.

Called 3 days out was assured IF available then it would be granted.

Called day of check in and seas advised it is available and would be provided at check in.

Arrived on property advised FD of what I was told, he looked at inventory said okay then said he upgraded me. I went to the room and it was a 1 King Room, not the Junior Suite.

I looked at inventory on Hilton.com and double checked prior to going to inquire. It showed as available so I went to the desk to ask for the upgrade.

Upon arrival I explained the situation, I explained what I was told multiple times, I then showed him the desired upgrade. He looked at his inventory and advised he did show it as available and that they did indeed have the room available however since it was a “Junior Suite” (his words) he would not provide the upgrade.

So to recap -

I did not solely rely on Hilton.com inventory, I was told multiple times by agents on property and it was verified that it was indeed available when I checked in.

Further if you bothered to read I stated that had I been told that this upgrade was not possible I would’ve gone a few miles up the road to another property charging $10 more per night who would provide the upgrade.

Had it genuinely been unavailable yes I would’ve been “bummed”, but that wasn’t the case.
