Asked the Hyatt agent on Messenger when I'll receive my backdated night credits from my stays prior to application..
Agent response:
"I was informed by management that the card has to be active at the time of your stay to receive the night credit, it does not retro credit for previous stays. If Chase informed you otherwise, you would need to contact them directly"
I challenged this, mentioning the information from management does not match the terms. There is no language in the terms that disqualifies stays prior to the application date. Also asked to escalate with Hyatt management because Chase is not responsible for issuing the night credits. Provided link to official Hyatt website with the terms & conditions of the offer
Agent response:
"The terms of this promotion, and all our bonus night promotions in the past, state bonus nights cannot be earned prior to registration, in varying verbiage. The following is from the terms of this promo, outlining when the member can start earning the bonus:
'To qualify for World of Hyatt Tier-Qualifying Night credits, your World of Hyatt Business Credit Card account must be open. World of Hyatt Tier-Qualifying Night credits are valid from the date of issuance through December 31st of the same calendar year' "
Again, I challenged this, noting that the verbiage doesn't indicate that my account needs to be open at the time of the stay. Requested escalation again.
Agent response:
"There is no variation or exception to this. We will not be escalating a 2nd time. The stays prior to opening this credit card will not count for bonus nights in any case"
