I never stayed at a St Regis before, and it has spoiled me for any other hotel. I was very sorry I only stayed one night there. I have never seen such a lavish breakfast buffet in my life, and I have never been treated like a queen before. On my king bed, they spelled out "welcome to the St Regis, Stephanie" in rose petals. I had a flower arrangement, macarons, a large fruit basket, and and 6 Egyptian desserts waiting for me. 10 minutes later, more fruit, mixed nuts, and 6 more Egyptian desserts arrived. I could not walk past any ee without being greeted. The suite was HUGE, and had eveyrthing I could possibly want. The butler escorted me to my suite, and showed me all about the suite. As I only stayed one night, I had nothing for the butler to do other than bring mango juice right after I got my room tour. I was given a late check out the next day. The only quibble was that I called for luggage pickup when I checked out, and no one came within 15 minutes, so I took my luggage downstairs myself (which wasn't a big deal.) I would gladly stay at one again if I can afford it (this one was 35,000 points for the night!).
Welcome to the World of StR. It's my chosen Mariott brand for this reason.
