So, this is my neck of the woods and everyone was rolling their eyes until about an hour ago. Nicole is gaining strength and heading W-NW. Orlando is right in the direct anticipated path. MCO was quiet and all of sudden there are plans for reduction and or closure by Wednesday evening (I have a friend who works there) if Nicole keeps on her NW trajectory. I am on BA flight 204 on 11/16 - so that should be okay, but for folks scheduled for 11/9 and 11/10 - please keep an eye on your flight. This storm is big, wet and strong enough to cause serious disruption. It is a hybrid storm, which is what is causing the conundrum, but weather experts are trending towards the assumption this will be significant. It looks like closures will be starting to be announced this evening based upon her track. Keep us in your thoughts, we are so tired of this...On a note for MIA flights, looks like those will have the best chance for going unscathed or with minimal reduction. At least for now...
