I did this just last week with Yamato. The base rate is for delivery in up to 7 days, and then there's a daily storage fee for deliveries scheduled past that time. You specify the date of delivery (or pickup, if at the airport) when you ship it, and any extra storage fees are calculated and collected at that time.
