Just completed a 5-night stay here. Good property overall. Diamond benefit is now a flat $30/day applied to food/bev. We had breakfast elsewhere so this actually worked out well for us.
No upgrades, but it was a fully sold out weekend with a home football game so I wasn't expecting one. I was able to select a high floor end-of-the-hallway room during OLCI.
The pool appeared to be heated but we didn't use it. The rooftop bar was fun....decent food and good service when we were there. Good happy hour spot to spend your $30.
We've heard from others that the rooms facing University Ave can be noisy, so we booked an odd-numbered room, facing north (away from University). I have also heard from Westin guests that the concert venue between these two hotels can be VERY loud at night, but the Canopy rooms don't directly face it like many Westin rooms do, so it wasn't an issue for us.
