Not really new or innovative at all - just restoring the previous elite tier levels including the expected 24,000 PQP requirement for 1K

The only real changes are:

1. no more redeposit fees for award tickets
2. earn PQP on award tickets, but at 1PQP per 100 miles redeemed
3. another PP extension
4. the 2023 “head start” bonus is just a small sprinkle of a few PQP
5. some caps are removed or increased for credit card spend but at the same 500 PQP per $12,000 levels

Nothing really innovative or significant and still nothing like the AA program with its multi channel approach to earning status.

For me the big issue losing 1K was award fees but now that they’re gone, I can slide happily into lifetime Gold and no longer give 1K status a second glance or make any attempt to qualify.
