Curious if anyone has encountered this. I was at a regional grocer and was trying to unload 2x200 MCGC (from staples) where the fee is $1 so I do $399.00 on the MO and the total comes out to $399.99. I swiped the first $200 MCGC and then the friendly cashier allowed me to swipe the second one but on the second one it didn't debit the remaining balance and so I just asked the cashier (whom I'm friendly with) to just cancel the transaction and I'd be on my way. Well, the refund went back to the first $200 MCGC card but the second card is showing the balance as $0.01. The cashier properly voided out the transaction as I was careful to watch and notice as the void receipt printed and of course no MO ever printed nor MO receipt generated. Curious if I can call the store when my friendly cashier is working to try and sort it out as I think the $199.99 is out in cyberspace for now?? Any suggestions are welcome, I've never had this happen, and I'm curious how the entire transaction was voided but only one card properly refunded.
