There are still 2 reasons that might cause somebody to go the DL branded card,

One is the waiver. Pre-COVID I could make the MQD for PM easily (and was close to DM). Now I have a tone of MQMs and little spend. The DL branded card "fixes" that problem.

The other is SC access.

I do agree though that people need to see what the cost of putting spend on a DL card is.
