Just did SEA-ICN a couple weeks ago and it was a pretty long flight. 12:50 gate to gate, and 12:30 in the air. It was a combination of weather (strong 100+ mph headwinds) as well as the longer routing to avoid Russian airspace.
In the past, if I recall correctly, we would generally fly over the Kamchatka peninsula, then into China, and then fly east into Seoul. This time, it was along the Aleutians, stayed east of Kamchatka and Japan, and cut west over Tokyo and into Seoul. It's quite a bit more distance that way.
On the other hand, coming back ICN-SEA, those headwinds were tailwinds and it was 8:30 so we arrived well over an hour early into SEA.
