Personally I’m not too happy about the changes for comfort seating, as this means that every single flight will likely always go out with all Comfort seats occupied. Gone will be the days of having the middle seat empty on the first few rows of economy.
The C+ seating may have something to do with Delta trying to force uniform benefits across Skyteam FF programs. There has been plenty of discussion in the Delta forum about being "upgraded" to a middle seat in C+ when half the plane behind you was empty. If I remember correctly the solution was to introduce an upgrade preference to no be upgraded into a middle seat.
