Have no idea if policy or practice has changed since then.
The quoted text is still accurate. The face of the ticket doesn't matter as long as APIS (secure flight data) is correct. They will do name corrections within their guidelines but it is not strictly required. Secure flight data is what gets transmitted to governments and TSA.
