LAX to EWR I was on a 781in P for $799 one way. However the P fare for a 752 is $558. This P fare is more in line with non premium transcontinental routes like sna-ewr or san-ewr.

I made the change as i am traveling with my partner.
Whether this P fare difference is due to the different aircraft or the different time of day that the two flights go seems uncertain.
