If someone else is paying you may as well take a pre-booked minicab, traffic shouldn't be too bad at the times you stated.
As mentioned Whitechapel now has direct trains to Heathrow, although if you're going to T4 or T5 they are still every 30 minutes so check the timetable (and live times) before travel.

If there's no Elizabeth Line train to Abbey Wood showing (that's the branch with Whitechapel on it), take a Shenfield train and change somewhere like Paddington. However, I think for the next 6 months at least, all the Heathrow trains are only going to Abbey Wood.
Whitechapel is on "both branches".
