There are some rooms on Magazine street (regular and suites), but that's a small portion of the hotel. Other rooms presumably look out on alleys and interior stuff. Certainly a Magazine view is preferred, but I don't think an internal view would be bad. We've only stayed once and got a Magazine view Suite. But other rooms locations look like they would be fine.
Cheers.
the interior views are windowless and gloomy. I’m sure the exterior rooms or courtyard view rooms are a fine location.
It’s the size of the base room that’s the issue.. Advertised as 290 sq ft, feels like 220. No room for a chair- want to read sitting in a chair- go to the lobby.
On last night, got switched to a corner suite, which I liked very much. Quite noisy, but settled down around 11pm. The real drawback was no drapes (just shades) on the sunny side of the bedroom, so if you need a dark room, not for you.
As noted above, public spaces are great.
Breakfast was uneven. One morning, they couldn't make a cappucino correctly. Eggs were fine, but limited options. No fruit on the menu, but you can get a side of berries. Brunch was suprisingly good however - crispy skin snapper. (Didn't go for the croque madame as I was keeping breakfast healthy).
Liked the location.
I would go back, but only if I had already secured a deluxe king at a minimum - the placed sold out the weekend I was there, and I'm sure other weekends as well.
