To the best of my knowledge, a membership obtained via United Club (now Infinite) Card is no different than one purchased directly for cash (plus I thought status just provides a discount on membership, not in lieu of cash). My membership appears in the United app without reference to how obtained.

However, I believe when you check-in, they do know you are a non-rev. I hadn't thought so until a few weeks ago when something was said to me about the club being near capacity with reference to being non-rev (DEN of course).
