Hi all,
Due to flight availability, my wife and kid will arrive to CHC a day before I do.
I'm hoping to book a hotel for them under my name, as I have status in various hotel chains (as compared to my wife, who doesn't have any hotel status).
I know I could do a 'guest of honor' reservation for her at The George (Hyatt property), however it appears sold out for the night she'll stay there.

My question is can I book a room in my name, possibly calling in to add her as a guest, then have her check in without me?
Considering the Doubletree as well as Crowne Plaza in Christchurch.
