As another case which is very popular with TK, if someone is using a Schengen visa for the first time, TK would deny boarding the passenger unless the passenger is landing at that country since many people have tried to play with the system and TK has to pay hefty fines in the past. This happens despite the fact that the passenger could provide evidence that he would be staying longer at the country who issued the visa or being able to provide a separate ticket on another airline.
For those unfamiliar, Schengen visas must be obtained from the country that the individual would spend the most time in.
