YVR-YYC-YWG on one airline would seem a fair compromise to dropping
the last segment and paying for baggage on F8 or some other outfit.
I was just thinking, I actually had a similar situation recently, where I 2 one-way bounds booked on one PNR.

I tried to cancel/change one of the bounds, but AP adamantly insisted it would require re-pricing of the other bound that was part of the PNR for some weird reason... Didn't pursue the matter much since in the end I canceled the entire PNR.
