I've booked a return domestic trip via the "book and upgrade with Avios" function on BA.com; cost was approx £270 plus 13,000 Avios per person for 2 pax return in Club Europe. MMB is showing 0 TPs and 0 Avios from the booking - however my understanding is that I'll be credited the base economy TPs and Avios, and when I called BAEC Gold line they confirmed this but didn't sound fully certain. I presume this is due to the flight being ticketed in U class and MMB displaying "rewards for this flight" based upon ticketed fare class rather than 'conditions of ticketing' but would value some learned reassurance! The purpose of the trip is to get my final 5 TPs of the year, and it seemed such a waste to sit in Y.....🙂
