No, I don't think you are missing anything, and MCOL would be a valid way forward since it will be difficult to frame a defence if the first line of your submission is that your personal claim was correctly resolved. However on this one you may as well go CEDR here. Yes it will add another month or so to the process but in essence it will be difficult for the BA paralegal to argue that you and your wife should be treated differently, which ever route is used, and CEDR is relatively easy to submit online.
