Quick question on GGL categorisations
Noticed some interesting things while travelling with some colleagues recently and wanted to understand from the experts some potential explanations (if only to appease a work colleague!).
I have two work colleagues, both are GGL and both of whom travel extremely frequently (I suppose you have to, to reach those lofty heights). However, one of them (who happens, hilariously, to be more junior than the other) has a significantly better experience from the BA team than the other. May I kindly explain what that means:
- A car comes to pick him up from the plane (I think a Jag F-pace, but don’t quote me on that)
- He gets escorted through security to the Concorde room by a smartly-dressed lady or gentleman (even though both are entitled to that perk)
- On-board upgrades to F, or at the very least, a much better recognition on board (both fly full-fare Club)
My colleague with the better treatment has clocked 6,750 tier points this year (shamefully, I asked him) while the manager has gained around 5,000. Is there a difference in treatment between every thousand tier points beyond 5,000? I personally don’t know, but thought that I would ask.
