Same here, that is also my experience. The AMS guys, or CDG guys or WAW guys usually just look at it, notice its a Western European passport and give it back. Occasionally, one in maybe eight times they scan it. I'm sure this is Swedes following a rule that was established as if their lives depend on it but it would be great if they could deal with the mess it causes rather than having coffee breaks and blaming the airline for MCTs.
