I'm BA Gold and have qualified easily with current 25% reduction in Tier points and BA Holidays deals.

Am trying to work out whether going for GGL by the end of the year is worth it (prices are high, and I'm short on time). I need 1500 TP's by Dec 31st.

Or whether to go for the undiscounted 5000 TP limit during my next membership year (> Feb 08) given I have 7 months of the BA holidays double deals , that kills two birds - my requalification for gold - plus I can schedule one First class long haul trip over 5 months to qualify the 5000 TP's hopefully on sale fares

But, is it worth it ?
