Best option is book a refundable ticket get the $300 credit, cancel event and total AF is reduces to $95.00 . . Decent deal for me at $96.00 plus I got 75k SUB.
I booked around three dozen flights in the past year on the C1 portal without issue. On the instances when my flights were delayed or canceled, I was able to work directly with the airline to rebook. With that said, I returned back to the Chase travel portal to book, as I value UR points much higher than C1 points. I'll still keep the VX, as the $300 travel credit and 10K bonus for renewal negates the annual fee, but I don't see myself putting much spend on the card this year.
