How strict is QR on the personal item? I have a small roller computer bag that is my carry on (Swiss Gear thing) that comes with a small, detachable laptop bag. No one has ever questioned it (especially since when you 'stack' them in the overhead they still take up less space than many carry ons), but I've just counted it as a 'backpack' or small briefcase type of personal item.
