Makes sense - it's always been a bother of mine that we receive no real confirmation on SUA application after calling. Especially since award stays don't change the room type in app and every property seems to do things differently, all we have is the word of the agent we speak with and our memory and their understanding of our request. I would not have caught the downgrade had the property not sent me a reservation change email that added a SUA line to the preferences, which was the first time I had seen that behavior. When I checked in the app, lo and behold, the smaller suite was listed despite the larger one being asked for and still available online.
