Echoing some of the above, complaining is one national sport Brits consistently do well in, as is queuing - hence the upset at lack of organised boarding.
While the BAEC board does entertain me and is highly useful, I've become more frustrated at late at how many threads get hijacked into complaining about catering or cancellations. Open debate is always good, but too often have to trawl through the noise to find what's needed. What I've never understood is the people who spend day in day out on here complaining and fanning the flames. You'd think some people had sat red in the face for the duration of every flight they ever took with BA. But I suppose that goes back to my point above, having a good whinge is part of the game.
I am greatful for the collective knowledge here on FT BAEC and for the less combative approach to that which US flyers take in such forums. I asked about a part refund for an invol downgrade on AA and was promptly given a torrent of abuse about how discount business fares are not as good as the flex business fares and that wanting any kind of compensation was essentially freeloading off high paying full J flyers. The AS forum is equally hostile
