It actually is confusing (and somewhat annoying) when a center seat in PC is assigned and the entire back half of the cabin has empty seats throughout. I would actually rather sit in a non PC seat with empty center than a PC row with center seat filled.

I definitely agree on having a 2/3 full main cabin seat over a 3/3 PC.
In this case I was the only one in the row. Flight was half full.
