I think it is a pretty accurate statement. No one has reported here that they have received credit for stays prior to approval. The communication you reported with Hyatt does not refute that. Others are waiting to see if there is some future batch processing of prior stays while you are questioning whether there will be any credit for prior stays.
Without going back up thread to see what was actually posted, I’d say maybe 10 people posted what they actually received. I don’t remember anyone actually posting that they have spoken to chase and/or Hyatt to clarify what they received is what they think. Everyone is speculating based on an extremely small sample size of the overall Hyatt population that applied for this credit card. I believe I have the information I need because I put in some work to gather it. It seems some people here just want to be spoon fed information and then take it at face value.
