Lesson learned is don't use the RBC Expedia travel agency portal for any air travel if you are expecting to get SQx out of it. The portal's travel agency ID must be blacklisted by AC. AC gets the same revenue from RBC as it would from me booking directly for the same tickets.
You don't know for sure what RBC pays to AC. It's possible that it has negotiated fares that give RBC a discount to the published prices, and one of the conditions is no mileage earning.
