Reporting live from the Renaissance La Defense.
Unfortunately, the building is starting to show its age. I was upgraded to a nicely sized Prestige King Room on the 8th floor, but the wallpaper is peeling, plug outlets are falling apart, and the bath faucet seems to have been super glued onto the wall. Most problematically, however, is something the pictures don't show: the hallway on the 8th floor smells like the sewer. After reporting this to the front desk, they seem to be aware of the issue but are unable to fix it. The front desk offered to move me to a different floor, but I observed the same smell on at least one other floor (3rd) and so passed to avoid the hassle.

Marriott Bonvoy Lurker II as I don't think this is what Marriott strives for. I was also not offered any kind of compensation and am quite disappointed by the experience.
