Is it ok to buy or gift miles privately and turkish airlines? Years ago as a student I found someone on ebay who sold me united miles so I was able to purchase a ticket home . I would not have afforded it otherwise. I have miles from many companies now but its not worth it to transfer marriot miles at 3:1. Im flying tomorrow so im sure there is no chance to purchase miles now but I would like to know for future use....Ive looked at the online companies but they dont sell turkish.

First, I think that this post is appropriate as you're not asking someone to sell you miles but asking if it's possible.
So the answer would be that, it's against the T&C of Turkish Miles&Smiles for a member to sell miles or purchase an award ticket for someone else for cash as well as sell their 3 Elite card gifts.
The reason why those websites are not selling TK miles is that, TK is very strict about these transactions and in addition to that, they charge a fee for mileage transfers among members. Even if someone random would exchange his miles for cash by purchasing you an award ticket, the system is likely to catch it.
